My Profile

My name is Brent Rogillio and I am a lab technician in the quality control lab at Exxon/Mobil BRPO.  Although I have been woodworking all my life, I just started working with the scroll saw in 2005.  I saw a magazine about intarsia and that’s all it took for me to get started!

The projects I make are for family, friends, and co-workers.  My biggest fan is my wife, Jackie.  She not only helps me, she wants one of everything I make.

When working on a project and sitting at the saw, I think about the person receiving it and what they mean in my life.  I’m hoping for a positive impact, an expression of joy.  What pleasure that gives me!  It allows me to experience God’s love and is a reminder of how I have been blessed by Him.

I get excited when I see new intarsia patterns.  I love the patterns created by Judy Gale Roberts.  I must have every one of them!  Maybe one day I will become more creative and make my own patterns.  To be able to visualize art, apply it to paper, and create the pattern is truly a special gift.

Intarsia is a great hobby!  Hopefully, God will grant me many more years to enjoy it.
